Don't really understand why this change was made. But here's how you turn off inspections for a single file: Open the file in question. Hover over the green checkmark at the upper right of the edit...

Yep that's it! Don't know how I missed it. Thank you! I'm using the Mac version and the options are there exactly as you describe.
