I am beginning to understand the other users disappointment and anger. As time drags on the problem almost seems to get worse. Is JetBrains going to address these issues? If not, what are we paying...

Just went from a Java project to a Scala project. IntelliJ with Scala is barely usable. CPU ranges from upper 100s to about 400. It seems odd to me that I haven't had these issues in any JetBrain...
