MacOs + German keyboard ... short cuts changed? 关注
I think until "recently", the shortcuts for navigation back/forward were command + left/right (maybe with some other modifier). That worked nicely for me.
Thing is: since a few weeks (maybe some MacOs update?), the menu says, the shortcuts are:
- back: command Ö
- forward: command Ä
That sounds weird, but well, it is the same that I now see in Chrome. At least, in chrome, it actually works!
Whereas in IntelliJ, navigation using those keys ... does not work.
Meaning: let's say I navigate through some code. At some point, I want to "go back".
When I press "command Ö", nothing happens. But if I turn to the Navigate menu, and select "Back" there ... IntelliJ goes back.
This is really annoying.
MacOs version is: 13.2.1 (22D68)
I am using a "standard" Apple Magic German keyboard, and I have "German" defined and selected as input source.

Hi,
The default shortcuts for "Forward" action in Idea for Mac are `Cmd + Opt + →` and `Cmd + ]`
For "Forward" action, they are `Cmd + Opt + ←` and `Cmd + [`.
`[` and `]` in German are Ü and + in "German - standard". Please send the screenshot of your Mac input settings, so that I set up the same.

Maybe I forgot about the option+cmd ... because option+cmd+arrows works for navigating.
So I guess: no problem here, besides the fact that the IntelliJ Navigate menu suggests to use "cmd ö" and "cmd ä"
This is OK if QWERTY "[" is mapped to "ö" and QWERTY "]" to "ä" in your particular keyboard layout.
