Can running app and plugin communicate in real time?

I am trying to build a plugin for Android Studio plugin and wondering if possible if data can be visualised in real-time inside a UI plugin?

Please explain your usecase in more detail. What is "data", where does it come from? What do you want to visualize and what is "UI plugin"?
