How to customise 'Run Widget' New UI?

已回答

Hi, I switched to using the New UI and I am loooving it.
However, there are a few nit things bothering me.

  1. Is it possible to make widget wider, so that configurations with longer names are easier to distinguish from one another (e.g. if all have the same prefixes, the actual difference in the name is hidden ?
  2. Is it possible to remove the 3 dots and show all buttons available in the 'Run Widget' ? Is it possible to customize which buttons are part of the widget ?
  3. There is some odd empty space after the 'More actions' button. Not sure what is causing it, but the UI looks a bit strange this way. Is it possible to remove it ?

Hello Aanastasov, thank you for taking the time to provide the feedback!

Is it possible to make widget wider

We already have the feature request to add this functionality; please, feel free to upvote it to show your interest.

Unfortunately, the Run widget is made non-customizable by design. You can add buttons you need to the toolbar near the widget.

Please, upvote this report in our YouTrack. Regrettably, there is no way to get rid of this space for now.

Why is the Run Widget Not customizable?  I don't want to have the run button.  I only want to have the debug button.  Is there a way to create my own Run Widget?

Workaround

Remove the Run Widget, and add “debug” button to your Main Toolbar manually.

If you are interested in your own Run widget, you may consider writing a plugin that will display the run configurations in a similar way, so it will replace most of your Run widget functions.

BTW, is it the same case as IJPL-61154?

I tried that, but then the configurations drop down disappears and I did not find a way to add that, too. So I would like to have the configurations drop down plus the JRebel run/debug buttons instead of the default ones. Is that possible?

Stefan Not at the moment I'm afraid. Please vote for IJPL-61154

Arina Efremova I did NOT write that comment today at 04:44. Should I be worried, that my account has been compromised?

No, at least not by me (who wrote this morning) :) I'm another Stefan. But tagging `@Stefan` leads to a long list, so I guess it is easy to pick the wrong one.

So sorry Stefan #2! :) Picked the wrong one from the list indeed.
