rwrapper-x64-linux uploaded to remote arm64 node

I'm trying to use the r plugin (version 231.8770.15) in pycharm to work with a remote session. Pycharm is running on my local machine (an m1 mac) and I want the R session to run on an AWS EC2 node. This works great for remote intel nodes but fails if the remote node is an ARM-based graviton3 host running Amazon Linux 2023. It seems the the plugin is uploading and trying to run rwrapper-x64-linux instead of rwrapper-arm64-linux. Is there a setting somewhere to tell it what the remote architecture is when running a remote R console?
