How to debug a widget?

I'm trying to debug a widget (extension) in the AppCode. Unfortunately, running a widget configuration seems simply launching my app. It doesn't open Notification Center and no breakpoints in widget code seem triggered. Any ideas how to make it work?

Please vote for OC-10697. We are targeting to have it fixed in 2017.1 or 2017.2 version.
