Only show relevant source files (*.c, *.h, *.cpp, *.hpp, cmake files) and folders in the Project Tool Window

My projects have lots of build and garbage files and folders in the main project directory and I don't want to see these. Is there a way to make CLion only show relevant project files and folders? Put another way: Can I make CLion's Project Tool Window behave like Visual Studio's, Qt Creator's, and XCode's project view?

Adding a whole bunch of filters to "Ignore files and folders" is not a solution. Is there a way to whitelist instead of blacklist?
