File status colours for custom scheme
已回答
I have just updated to version 2017.1 and noted that all my filename colours changed (settings were imported from previous version during installation). Everything else is the same but not the file status colours.
When I go into settings > Editor > Colors & Fonts > File Status I see that it is not available. Upon clicking "More", it says "File status options are not available for the scheme. Choose 'Default' or 'Darcula'."
Why is this? File status colours were fine up until now. I spend an age getting the IDE to look "just right" for me. Can we have this functionality back again please?

Same here (PHPStorm 2017.1). Please allow custom file status colors again.
Hi there,
Please refer to this comment: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-166300#comment=27-1836144
>File status colors are not available for custom color schemes. If you need to modify them, you need to select either Default or Darcula (depending on UI theme which you are currently using) and then go back to your own editor scheme. In the future this section will be taken out from Editor|Colors and Fonts since it defines colors for the rest of UI which may not be consistent with the selected editor scheme.
Hi there,
I've encountered this issue too and this comment resolves it for me. But I'm sure that many of the users either don't know about this or don't have time to search for it deep inside a bug reporting system.
How about we rephrase the notice to:
"File status options are not available for the scheme. Please set it from within 'Default' or 'Darcula', and switch back to your custom scheme."
Then lay users can immediately figure out how to work around it without resorting to finding it here.
Thanks.
If you feel like it's crucial, please submit a new issue (make sure to put a link to the original one there): https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/newIssue?project=IDEA
Things like this drive me absolutely crazy!!!! WHY WHY WHY did this change? What could this have possibly been causing a problem with? What other feature or enhancement was achieved by making this change? Why give the option to have a scheme if you can't even use it? My guess is that someone really wanted to piss alot of people off, and until I am told otherwise that is what I'm going with. That little "fix" that was mentioned only works temporarily. Every time you restart the program you have to go through the whole process again. I am going to rollback to a 2016 version because of this. I know there is already a ticket open for this issue. For whatever the reason is why you changed this, It is not good enough so please change it back.
Developers are barely reading forums so it would be better to submit a corresponding request at our tracker as mentioned above.
This is causing me a lot of grief. Would be fair to classify this change as disruptive since I cannot tell clearly from the default color scheme which files have been modified.
