Is it possible to disable sidebar (project view) tooltips?

In the project view in CLion, if a file name is longer than the sidebar width, it will display the cut off portion of the file name in a tooltip on hover.  I think this is actually a nice feature, but unfortunately, in the desktop that I'm using (Cinnamon on Linux), the part of the tooltip that is cut off will often continue to be displayed after CLion has been minimized or lost focus.  Check out the screenshots below to see what  I mean

I looked in the settings but I did not see any way to disable that specific type of tooltip.  Is there any way that this can be disabled or fixed?  Thanks for any help in advance
