Writable views not editable through gui

Hi,

I have some writable views in a MySQL database that I would like to edit and have edit the underlying table, this is possible through writing a query but when I click the cell and change the value I get a notification saying "This table is read-only. Cell editor changes cannot be applied." I am not sure if this is the desired behavior but I think if the view is writable, the values in the view should be directly changeable through the cells in the view like the functionality of a normal table.
