Webstorm update doesn't apply
Hey guys, I'm getting alerts to update Webstorm from 2017.1.3 to 2017.1.4 but when I press the "Update and restart" button, it downloads and seems to apply it, but when Webstorm restarts, it's still 2017.1.3 and I get again the prompt to update.
What could be the issue? I've tried several times, even after restarting it. I'm on Windows 10 x64.

can you recreate the issue and attach the idea.log, idea_updater.log and idea_updater_error.log from
~/.WebStoprm2017.1/system/logfolder?Sure Elena Pogorelova, should I first empty the log folder or anything?

You won't believe it: I just tried again to update it before sending all the logs again, and this time it took! I'm running 2017.1.4 now :) Here's the logs just in case anyway: http://www85.zippyshare.com/v/4YhmBHCx/file.html

Happening to me today trying to update from 2020.3.1 to 2020.3.2 on Mac.
Please share the idea.log, idea_updater.log and idea_updater_error.log from the logs directory( https://www.jetbrains.com/help/idea/tuning-the-ide.html#logs-directory )
Not obvious how to upload files in here.

Must be https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/JBR-2477 - in this case, detaching external monitor before applying updates may help.
