Python Inspections don't Update File Markers

When I run inspections, or why I'd expect an on-the-fly inspection to run, the markers in my editor are not updated. After running IntelliJ for some amount of time (a few minutes to a few hours, depending), code markers in the editor are not updated once an issue is fixed. 

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue? The markers even remain after I run a manual code inspection through "Analyze->Inspect Code".
