SciView: 3d plots not draggable/rotationable

I just moved from 2016 to 2017.3. Previously, when I plotted 3d graphs in matplotlib and would look at them in the interactive mode, I could use my mouse to grab the plots and rotate.
This does not work in SciView. Is there any workaround I can use to retrieve that feature?

Hi Saman! For workaround please disable *Settings | Tools | Python Scientific | Show plots in toolwindow*.
I've created a feature request for 3d plots in Scientific View - please vote: PY-27393.
Is it possible to only deactivate it if I look at 3d plots? Because I very much like this feature, but for 3D plots I definitely need to be able to drag / rotate.
Unfortunately, it's not possible at the moment.
