Removing projects without PyCharm eternally remembering their interpreter

I installed the latest PyCharm, created, renamed, moved and removed a few projects.

Now when I create a project with the name of a removed project, I get error messages suggesting that the PyCharm is looking for the old path of the same named project, for the interpreter for the new project. This is very annoying and I'd appreciate advice on how to reset PyCharm to properly forget deleted projects and not maintain references to them.

Meanwhile will use another IDE.
