AI Assistant does not format responses correctly consistent enough

I keep getting responses from the AI assistant that are formatted inconsistently and could be better.

In this screenshot I get my response that includes code give to me in a formatted area.

In this example I get a response that includes code give to me in unformatted text. This unformatted text in quite frustrating.

I hope that this post can help provide data to improve the product. If there is anything I can do quick fix this I would appreciate any help. Thank you!

We have a similar issue https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/LLM-1514 in our tracker.

1. Do you have a way to reproduce it?

2. Try updating the AI assistant plugin, we have fixed some similar issues recently.

This used to happen to me once in a while. Now it's every time, all the time. Unsubscribed from jetbrains AI because of this. At this point I am unsure how I could be reconvinced to subscribe again. Maybe another trial sometime in the future to at least demonstrate that the code provided by the AI will be formatted correctly as a code snippet. Otherwise I get the same results from other free AI tools where i need to copy/pasta the code back and forth. 

One thing I will definitely miss are the AI generated commit messages. Those are gold. But the frustration of the failed formatted code combined with the price versus the automated commit messages does not justify the acquisition of the AI tool. Time to try copilot for now.

Sorry for the inconvenience. It is a known regression in 2024.1 for typescript code snippets: https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/LLM-2484. Currently, it is planned to be fixed in the 2024.1.1 release.

I am running WebStorm 2024.1.1 with the same issue, any advice?

WebStorm 2024.1.1 was released early (due to an urgent bugfix), before the fix for this issue was not included. 

I just double-checked with the development team, and it looks like the fix will, unfortunately, not be ready for 2024.1.1. It is planned for 2024.1.2. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This issue was from beginning. Now i use Webstomr 2024.1.2 and still have same problem
