The bug has already been resolved and the fix will be part of the 2024.1.1 release. The 2024.1.1 Preview that includes a fix can be downloaded from this link.

You can do this by submitting a support ticket as I recommended earlier. Rest assured, any information you provide will be accessible only to the support engineer.

For me it's freezing for about 5 seconds when pasting some text.

I have the same issue. So anoying. It happens when:
- in code editor, select text (for example a single word by double click it) and paste to replace
I'v opened a support ticket and added Diagnostics data..
This still happens to me with WebStorm 2024.3 Community edition.
Is there any solution? It is very hard to do any work if the IDE keeps hanging.
