Can not uninstall PyCharm 2023.1.1 (Community Edition)

After installing the latest version of PyCharm (2024.1.4) I cannot uninstall my previous version (2021.2.1). The error message says “Uninstall hasn't detected fold for PyCharm Community Edition installation. Probably uninstall.exe was moved from the installation folder.”

#1. Is there a place where I can find and reinstall 2021.2.1 so I can re-uninstall it?

#2. Any other suggestions on how to proceed?

Hi David,
This is quite a common problem for Windows systems when the update breaks the uninstallation. The recommended way to fix this problem is to get the installer for the version with a broken uninstaller, install it, and then uninstall it properly.
