Bug - Code analysis only partially applied for Git Diffs

I pulled up a git diff and the two files appeared to be different where there wasn't actually a difference. On one side it was highlighted by the syntax checker, on the repository side, it was not.

The syntax issue that caused this was a complaint that the default argument to a function was mutable as defined.

The image looks really small in the preview, so I am going to attempt to attach it as well.
