Find in Path Scope Reset

I find myself using Find in Path all the time as the best way to find code in a large project.

One major annoyance is that the Scope seems to be reset to directories for files from the last search or for some other unknown reasons a good portion of the time.

I set it to "All projects" and then as often as not, it gets reset to a specific directory, so I have to click "All projects" again to get it to do what I want.

Am I missing something? Is there some way to get the behavior I am looking for?

Hi Curtis,

I think the issue is that PyCharm tries to be intelligent =) If your cursor is positioned at some directory in the project view – then PyCharm suggests that you want to look into specific directory.

Sounds like all the JetBrains products have this "feature" and a lot of people find it annoying. That's good, means they might make it configurable in the future.
