stuck with Play 2.1RC-1

Hi is there a combination of Intellij versions, scala plugins that people have working properly with Play 2.1Rc1 (and by implication scala 2.10RC1)?
if I use the community edition I get this Base64Converter error agains 0.7.49 plugin (see previous thread).
I don't have access to Ultimate edition from here but it was having different problems when I tried it out on an office machine.
This is with either 12.01 or 12.02 (I think it's a plugin problem).
I was so hoping to do serious work over Christmas week as our office is closed - but it's pretty frustrating having to do all my compilations in the play shell and then go searching for line numbers (remember those good old days!).
Alexander - if you're around - I'll happily test any nightly builds
