Font Configuration: How can I change the *weight* of selected font?
Source Code Pro by Adobe is my favorite monospace code everywhere. This font works best when it's on "light" weight instead of "regular". However I haven't been able to find anywhere in Ruby Mine the option to set font weight. Am I missing something?
Thanks.

SourceCodePro-Bold and SourceCodePro-Regular are two different fonts, there is no "light" version available for Java at all.
OK. So what you mean is that Java does not support any light fonts therefore nor does any IDE based on it?
That's a kind of weird because I'm able to select SourceCodePro-Light on my Eclipse without any problem.
And also, I'm not seeing any of those alternative fonts being displayed in the font menu. Only SourceCode seems to be available.
Have you tried to install "light" font in your OS? Actually we bundle regular and bold modifications, but you can use any Java-compatible font from OS font set.

Yeah obviously as I stated in my question I use the font everywhere, i.e. Sublime Text, Eclipse, whatsoever. And I always use the light version. However Ruby Mine's font menu gives me this:

All I can suggest at the moment is this workaround: http://sticksnglue.com/wordpress/source-code-pro-phpstorm-the-plot-thickens/
