With 639 when I start a project, often it hangs.
Removing scratchpad plugin always helps.
I had to return to scratchpad 1.2 - that doesn't cause this problem
(although
there is that InternalError - exception caused by icon initialization).
Is anyone (Duane?) aware of this?
Thanks

Hm... I'll have to look. They change the text icon from gif to png in 638, I
wonder if they changed it back! (I should put some error checking in there I
guess!)

Hi Duane,
the chat plugin doesn't work with build #639.
After starting Idea it gives the error "Something should be instance of
something" (sorry, I don't remember the classes mentioned).

Duane, did you check the plugin.xml to be compatible with 639?
There were some changes (few builds ago) that required change
XXXYYYGroup to XXXYYYMenu in the XML file. I tried this for the
scratchpad and it seemed working (I made the change manually
for 1.2 and 1.3).

Is this a luser trying to disguise himself as a developer ;)
I expect "Hello, techsupport? The application has an error. Nothing works.
Please correct it. End of message" from basic lusers, not from developers.

They released 639 right after my update, I need to make a new one... by the
way the issue is that you no longer need to register an explicite "view
toolbar" action. I think deleting this from the plugin xml will fix it, but
I haven't tried.

Duane, please, could you at the same time look at the IDEA hang at the
project load?
I really like the scratchpad plugin and I have to use the 1.2 version
because of that.
If you need any assistance identifying the problem... I'm here.

Of cource, I could've tried to start Idea once more and write the
exception down, but I have to work a bit. You know? Developing software.
Not just posting crap.
Loser is written with 'o', you loser ;)
What's your problem? Stay in your cave, you troll.
I expected the developer of the module to try it on his own.
If you don't have to say anything helpful, then shut up.

As for the rest, I think I'll stay out of this one...

Now that you mention it, it's exactly what you should have done.
The people writing the plugin you are using also work you know.

Sorry for the partial message, the newsreader sent the message without my
wanting to :(
Now that you mention it, it's exactly what you should have done.
It doesn't matter if I work or not ;) That's between me and my employer.
What matters is that the persons writing the plugin you are using also work
you know.
Every bit of information in an error report helps ensure that they find the
error in the less possible time and that their work is the most productive.
I'm sorry that you where so stricken by my message, but I couldn't resist
sending it.
I just happen to hate error reports saying something doesn't work without
having the information that could and should be there.
