Mercurial log very slow to display...

I'm using the new Mercurial Log in 13.1 and find it incredibly slow to load (over 15 minutes!)

The repository I am using is large with many branches, but TortoiseHG shows its view almost instantly.

Is there a way to speed it up? Currently I don't think it can be really described as 'blazingly fast'
