Maven dependency graph refresh

The graph doesnt seem to always show the latest version of the dependencies. My project was gettting dependency x from more than one place transitively. I upgraded one of the dependencies to use a newer version , reimporting the project multiple times still only shows the old dependency. To clarify my doubt I ran the mvn:dependencyTree plugin from command line and that does show that new version being used.

How do i force the graph to refresh (I did try a maven reimport and invalidate cache ) , this feature is so useful when its working fine.
