Generating artifacts for resource adapters from Maven

Does IntellJ supports generating artifacts for Java EE resource adapters from Maven? I would like to use IntellJ for deployment of such artifacts, if possible. I tried using the <packaging>rar</packaging> parameter in Maven, but nothing.

Currently IDEA doesn't support resource adapters. Feel free to vote for the corresponding issue (http://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEABKL-5519).
