Where can I find 10.5.3 in a Zip file?
I prefer not to run the Windows installer as it mucks around with the Windows registry.
For EAP versions, I can download a Zip file instead of the exe.
Where can I get the zip package for 10.5.3?

Just replace "exe" in the download link with "zip". There's a direct link on the "thank you" page.
e.g. http://download.jetbrains.com/idea/ideaIU-10.5.3.zip
I had no idea the exe was an executable Zip file. That's what I love about this business; you learn something new everyday!

.exe and .zip are completely different downloads, .exe is an installer made using NSIS, .zip is just a plain zip file.
