Upgraded from 8 to 9 and now Intellij is killing my processor...

This is really annoying. While doing nothing on the IDE every few minutes it kicks into life chewing up 70-100% of the processor for a few minutes. Then repeats.

Any suggestions as to what to look at to stop this happening?
