Focus lost after searching with alt-F7 (on linux: idea2214.bin)
I noticed a similar post on this topic in March of this year. I am having problems with the focus being lost after searching with alt-F7 on SuSE-9.1 with idea2214. The only way to get the focus back again is to click on a different application or minimize and maximize the idea window.
This is using the latest KDE update for SuSE-9.1, if that makes a difference.

Yep, this is happening in all 2200ish builds. Unfortunately, ALT+F7 isn't the only action that makes IDEA lose focus to never regain it unless you switch applications. Basically, all modal dialogs can cause this. Unfortunately, it's not deterministic.
For me it happens every single time I do a synchronisation with the filesystem from within IDEA.
I use ant from the command-line to generate some Java source files into a project source path, then alt-tab back to IDEA, synchronize to pick the new files up and then no focus until I alt-tab out of IDEA and back again. Very irritating.
(This is on KDE 3.2 on Mandrake OE 10.0.)
This has been happening to me running on OS X for a long time. It seems to be a problem that shows up after the application has been open and in use for a while.
