Excluding jar file from deployment

How do you keep a jar file that’s needed for building the war file from actually being deployed with the war file in version 9 Beta? I do know that you can remove a jar file under the Output Layout tab in the Artifacts setting but when I do that it show an error at the bottom saying the jar is needed.

Hello Jeffrey,

The text in the bottom is not an error but just a suggestion. You should
be able to build the artifact regardless of this message being displayed.
