Yellow popup in front of code with error prevents typing properly

When I move the mouse over java code with a red line under it, immediatly a yellow popup shows up, often over the code, showing the error. Because of the popup being in front of the mouse cursor and the code, I can't place the cursor in that line of code to type there. The only way is using the arrow keys of the keyboard to navigate the cursor there. This is very annoying and makes it impossible to work efficiently. Can I make this stop somehow?

I don't know if it's a bug or not, because sometimes the yellow popups are so smart to appear a line lower, but often they do arrive in front of the cursor and code.

I'm using IntelliJ version 8.1.

Any suggestion is helpful, even disabling the yellow popups, I couldn't find any setting related to it.

EDIT: another annoying problem is when a helpful list with code suggetions appears, and then by moving the mouse one pixel a yellow popup shows up and removes the list. I want to see the list, not the yellow popup. The yellow popup appears because of moving the mouse towards the list and the line of code is considered an error because it wasn't completely typed yet. Duh, that's why the list appeared in the first place... Can that be fixed too somehow with some settings? I want less aggressive yellow popups
