The classic view option for the settings dialog ...
.... in 1019 is just great (and I don't mind the icons' size, actually, since
my screen's resolution allows me to enlarge the dialog so that I don't need
to scroll at all).
Thanks for not alienating the few of us who didn't find the new panel view
all that convenient.

Yes, I like it too.
I still don't like how the File Types and ToDo, which should be stretched
like the resources, are not...

Thanks JetBrains! The classic view looks great. On my display (1600x1200) all the icons are visible.
IMO classic view should be the default view, and then you can add a button 'Icon View'

Hi.
I have some strange behaviour...
On Classic view when in "Project settings" I am focusing the Modules icon... the size of the whole settings window is changed... and I it no longer possible to see buttons at the bottom. So I heve to change manually the size of the dialog.. Cause it stayes the same if I am changing to another icon(let's say "Compiler") Though selecting of any other icon keep the size of the dialog constant...
Am I the only one? (build 1019)
Regards
Andrey

While I'm happy with the new look of the classic view- small icons, much
better, great idea :) -, I wish its keyboard events handling were 1
quarter as good as it is in the latest implementation of the Icon view
version (breathe here) : the only key that seems to respond is .
Let's just be patient. I'm sure they are working on it.... or should one
file a request ?

Are you sure you attached them? I can't see them... (Outlook Express)

This is just another classic example of why IDEA rocks!!!
They actually listen to customer needs.
Keep up the great work!

I'd also like to state my preference for the "classic" view in the
settings dialog. I hadn't yet espoused an opinion on the new-style
settings dialog because I wanted to see if I could get used to it. But
after using it for a while I can say with certainty that it was much
harder to find the settings I was looking for. The vertical list is much
easier to scan and the single window switching of settings pages makes
it easier to find settings.
I've noticed one cosmetic problem and one minor bug:
The cosmetic problem is that when switching between pages the window
sometimes flashes a lot which is rather disorienting. It seems to only
happen the first time I access the settings ater starting IDEA.
The minor bug is that the scroll wheel doesn't scroll the list of pages
when certain pages are selected; Code Style seems to be one that
triggers this and going back to Colors&Fonts seems to "re-enable" the
scroll wheel.
Other than, I love it.
Thanks,
Gordon

In 1035 the Plugin Manager does not resize also. Please fix that :)
And - Dmitry, you have done a great job (If it was you, of course :))
Keep up the good work!
Given my bitterness before, I'll throw in my thanks as well. :)
thx for the classic view. :) :)
maybe current classic should become default.
a view resizing bugs should become fixed.
greetings.
