new highlight usages

Yes, indeed. :)

I'm using "highlight usages in file" very often and I'm very happy about it. The only thing which could be changed is that the two modes of this feature are placed on two different shortcuts, possibly by reusing CTRLF7. I never used CTRLF7 again since the other one is implemented.

But don't take me wrong: you're request for adding the highlight feature to the normal find dialog seems very useful to me, but it is not a replacement for CTRLSHIFTF7.

My complaint was not about highlight usages itself, but about the 2 modes, exactly as you mention.
It used to be 2 shortcuts.

This feature CTRLSHIFTF7 is really great, the only suggestion I have, is to use different colors when CTRLSHIFTF7 is used repeatedly for different patterns in the same matter as google does when highlighting is on.

I agree it would be most useful.
