version-control checkout as maven project

hi,

currently I only know the way to setup maven project in IntelliJ by:

Version Control->Checkout from version control
File->New Project->Import Project from external model

This is quite annoying and very confusing especially for beginners, is there something possible like checking out from VersionControl as a Maven project instantly?
