I'm not using the web interface, but read the forum posts with Thunderbird through NNTP. And even that is dead slow! Sometimes it takes almost minutes to display a single message. Not very funny to read the forums anymore.

Is it me, or is this forums site exceptionally slow? Have you guys considered faster hardware?
Not just extremely slow, but a really unintuitive too.
It may be that I'm unfamiliar with it, but I've picked up other forum systems without difficulty in the past - this one just drives me up the wall...
It's not you. I would agree that it is very unintuitive. I'm getting better at understanding its unusual interface. But, like you said, since I have never had that issue with any of the dozens of other forum systems I've used, I have to believe that something is rotten in the state of Denmark.
And the rich text editor is flaky. And yes, it is also very slow for me as well.

Same here. For example I can not find any good way to get a list of all unread messages since my last visit. I decided to stick to reading the forums with my mail client.
I don't have a problem with the forum being slow I do however have a problem with it being very unintuitive. Still haven't figured out why there are tabs at top, all three "Overview", "All Content", and "Discussions" all seem to have the same information on them. If I come into Community I expect to see a list of threads, not three tabs that all appear to have the same information. I am not sure what software is being used but it is horrible.
It is astoundingly slow!
AJAX BBIs (browser-based interfaces) need not be like this, but the developers of this site's software have yet to learn how to do them right.

The forums (via NNTP too) are plenty fast for me. Looks like there is a problem somewhere else.
