Fonts disappear - OSX bld 957

I've had this happen twice now. With bld 957 on Mac OS X 10.2.8, when I go into the IDE properties windows and start configuring things, I will click Save and all the letters in menus, tabs etc are replaced with rectangles!

I've found that deleting my ~/.IntelliJIdea directory and restarting is the only way to clean things up.
