Checkout Project From CVS Question

I have successfully configured my CVS Root using :ext:user@host:/path and :ssh:. The connection tests successfully in both cases.

But when I go into File -> Checkout Project from CVS, and choose my repository in the drop down, i don't see any modules listed. If I'm using :ssh:, it shows the top level Repository Structure as just the CVS Root. Is this supposed to expand and show all of my modules in the CVS server?

If I use :ext: I actually get an error: "Cannot load items. (Valid requests expected!)"

Is there a misconfiguration in my CVS server? Or is this a problem in Idea? I'm using the latest EAP.
