About UTF-8 and Chinese?

I am use version 6.0.2,and jdk1.4.2_10

This work nice on my machine. I see Chinese both in editor and console. My
conditions:
OS: Windows XP, Regional settings / East Asian languages support = ON.
IDEA build: 6107 (6.0.2 release). IDEA settings / General / Default encoding
= UTF-8.
Is it all the same in your case?

I write java File in UTF-8 format,but in console, it can not show
Chinese. For example:

System.out.println("Chinese??");

in console:

Chinese????

I try again use jdk1.5.0, it works well.
but in jdk1.4 it can not work well

Do you use jdk1.5 or jdk1.4?
