can not set breakpoints in my jsps or servlets

Hello,
I have created a new project. (I have an old big one that i set up along time ago that works fine)

this new project is basically , 1 servlet, a couple jsps and a jar.

the app runs, but for some reason i can not set a break point in either the servlet or jsp. The red dot is there but no check mark.

I must be missing something simple
