PHPStorm 8 - Using PHP Code Sniffer from a remote server path

I am using VirtualBox for my development environment running on MAC OSX and have code sniffer installed on that virtual box.

When I select on Prefs->PHP->Code Sniffer I do not see an option to go to the remote server location, only a local path option comes up when selecting the '...' option on the PHP Code Sniffer (phpcs) path: option.

Is it possible to use the code sniffer from a remote server?
