Oracle iAS plugin

Any plans on developing a plugin for oc4j. I read a post stating that the
migration of the Tomcat plugin to ias should be fairly simple.

Hi Rajiv,

Yes, it should be straightforward indeed. In fact, I have started porting the Tomcat Integration plugin to OC4J. It's pretty much there except for JSP debugging. This too should be feasible, leveraging the ojspc tool to produce line number mappings between a JSP and the corresponding compiled servlet. Unfortunately, I have been short of time over the past few weeks. How badly do you need it?

Hi,

I use OC4J for all company internal projects. I would certainly be able to use an OC4J plug-in for my favorite IDE :)

Frank,
We have been using IntelliJ 2.5 with IAS for all our development. We are currently using remote debugging. Having JSP debugging would be a huge benefit given the time it takes to debug struts taglibs. I can't wait to have it.

Franck:

Thanks for taking this on. This will help us greatly since we abandonded JDeveloper for IDEA (you can imagine why...) but would love to regain the JSP/Servlet debugging facility.

Have you made any progress since your original post?

Thanks,

Mark
