slow refactoring

Ever since upgrading to PhpStorm 3.0, the PREVIEW for simple rename refactorings have been painfully slow. The "Looking for usages" dialogue stays up for up to one minute even where there are a handful of instances of the variable in the file I'm changing.
Has anyone else seen this, or is there something I'm missing?
