not getting any 1.5.2 ide improvements

The screenshots show a much cleaner IDE and menu, but my one looks the same as the previous version...

what gives?

And the menus are not standard os x menus anymore (they are on the app window). I swear in 1.5.1 the menus were (finally) correctly integrated..

George,

What screenshot exactly do you mean? Can you show screenshot of your AppCode to compare?
please make sure you have MacOS look and feel selected in Preferences->Appearance.

Does resetting look and feel and restarting AppCode fixes the menu?

"Does resetting look and feel and restarting AppCode fixes the menu?"

nailed it. I had changed it in the past and forgot.

My goodness it is so pretty.

You guys do realize, that I am so utterly happy with your IDE, that I just spent an hour explaining to my wife about how objective c works, just co I can show her how much productivity improvements I have.

It is really exceptionally good. I'm sure you guys must be very proud of it already, but in case you forgot, and especially as you are repsonding on a Saturday - you've done a great job with it. It's super.

Thanks,

George

Your comment about explaining things to your wife made me chuckle. I've done much the same thing -- I'm probably boring her by pointing out so frequently all the great things AppCode does for me (often accompanied by exasperated references to "the other" objective-c IDE).

AppCode is a truly excellent piece of work, and I hope it's a success for JetBrains. My experience with talking to other Apple devs about it is that they often seem reluctant to even try a non-Apple IDE. Hopefully word will spread.
