Change color in editor pane
Spent almost an hour trying to find and change the BG color and the underlining depicted in the linked image - to no avail.
Where do I change this?

This looks like a warning style: Settings/Preferences | Editor | Colors & Fonts | General --> Errors & Warnings | Warning
P.S.
You better fix the actual issue instead of "hiding" it. If IDE is unable to properly understand your query (possible reason: the way how database name is used) then better switch SQL Dialect to "Generic" so IDE will stop checking your SQL and give you warnings.
