Preparing for the release definitely means focusing both on new features and bugs. No matter what license model we have we are trying to make our products worth buying and using. I agree the last EAP had no RUBY issues fixed and it might have looked strange. But RubyMine has a lot of non Ruby-specific features that still allow Ruby developer being more productive. All our WEB and IDEA issues are also RubyMine bugs. And we do fix them. We are also now focused on rbenv-gemset feature that is going to be announced with Beta update later this week. Do you have any specific major issues you want to be fixed before the release?
Thanks a million for the list and actually for being our active user. Unfortunatelly we don't have enough resourses to fix all the bugs RubyMine has. I can imagine how annoying it can be :( We will try to fix the major ones from this list. Will be back to you with some more details after announcing Beta.
This is a major usability regression that has to be fixed in 8.0 release. You made editor editor splitters invisible and made their hit target too small, which made resizing difficult.
When you have tabs on one side of the invisible splitter, which is always the case with the horizontal splitter and sometimes with the vertical (depending on where you're clicking), attemting to click and drag the invisible splitter, can easily at least select and also drag a tab. Editor pane splitters need to be visible.

https://youtrack.jetbrains.com/issue/IDEA-144184 possibly made the hit target larger but did not eliminate the problem.
