Debug Windows: confusing

I kind of feel retarded for asking this, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the variables window to display itself. Somehow this window got hidden, and I can't figure out how to show it. This is a great product, but it seems pretty goofy how these windows operate. Can someone tell me how to show the variables window?
