Why does EAP expire?
I have a valid Rubymine license. I needed a bug fix which was not included in 2.2 so I started using EAP. Why do I have to keep downloading new EAP versions every 30 days and cannot keep one of them until next official release? It feels like a have a useless license and could have saved the money.

No idea if it may work, but have you tried copying your existing license file to ${user.home}/.RubyMine25/config ?
Hello Heinrich,
Because EAP versions usually contain bugs, and we do not want people to be
using old and buggy versions and then sending us bug reports about problems
which have been fixed a long time ago.

Hello Stephen,
Our current strategy for EAP build licensing is to have EAP builds expire
a certain number of days (30 or 45) after they have been released. They do
not require, or use, the license key from a released version.

Understandable. As long as new EAP versions are released at least each 30 days that's fine with me.
I would hate going back to 2.0 after using new features so much (not even sure if that would work for my project).
