writeExternal/readExternal

I am experiencing a problem in a plugin I've written which has to do with the writing of the config information...

It seems as though the read/write operations are getting the wrong element passed to them...

So I'm seeing a setting from 1 project being set in another project's config....I also notice a "default" entry in the global config...Is that supposed to happen??

Maybe I've misunderstood how it's supposed to work...
