Extending Structural Search and Replace

I just watchted Hamlet's presentation on SSR, and was wondering if it was possible to extend SSR for a custom language. My first guess would be no, because it doesnt appear to be available for Ruby, Python, Scala, etc, but it is worth asking.

Right now it is not possible but we plan to investigate support for any
language

Would really like to see it available for python. Also would love to Type Renderer support also for python (thinking maybe the same underlying functionality is needed for both).
