Use the same font rendering/config from 13 EAP in v12.x?

I see something has been done (well, I assume as the font looks much better) for the font rendering or configuration when running on JDK 7 on Linux
in the next version of IDEA. Is this a configuration issue, so we can do some configuration in IDEA 12 to get the same font or is the change something fundamental thah has been changed in 13, so this isn't possible?
